INSTALLING THE PRESS FITTINGS

Cutting

Cut the multilayer pipe using a shear that does not squash the pipe and make sure that the cut  is perpendicular to the pipe axis

Calibration and countersink

This operation permits to have the right internal diameter of the pipe and to prevent any movement of the o-ring gaskets from their housing when the pipe is inserted.

If there is great resistance when inserting the fitting, this means the calibration and the countersinking were not made in a correct way. In such a case, do again the operation.

Inserting the press  fitting

Insert the fitting into the pipe up to the stop point. The correct depth can be seen by appropriate openings on the plastic ring.

Electric press and clamps

The press fittings can be installed by means of an electric press equipped with TH clamps.

Pressing

Open the clamps and insert the fitting to be pressed, taking care that the guide collar of the plastic ring is inserted in their internal interference groove.
