Our company enthusiastically joined the “Little Park Library” project by donating several book sharing boxes to Don Gnocchi Park in Lumezzane.
A simple idea, designed to bring reading outdoors and enhance public spaces.
The boxes operate on the book sharing principle: take a book, read it, and if you wish, leave another in return. A small act that encourages reading and sharing, suitable for all ages.
Don Gnocchi Park is one of the most popular gathering places in Lumezzane—a meeting point for families, children, and residents of all ages. With the addition of these new book sharing boxes, the park becomes not only a recreational space but also one dedicated to reading and curiosity, in a relaxed, informal setting.
The goal is to strengthen the connection between people and the local area through an experience that’s accessible to everyone: the opportunity to flip through a book under the trees, read on a bench, or simply be inspired by a story discovered by chance.
Reading as a shared value
For us at Itap, culture is a value meant to be shared. Donating these boxes means creating opportunities for growth, inspiration, and dialogue, even beyond traditional settings.
The project is also an open invitation to participate: take care of the boxes, the book donated and if you want leave one for others. It’s a simple way to create a positive exchange among people.
Part of a broader commitment
This donation is part of our company’s long-standing commitment to the community: an effort that spans education, health, environment, and culture.
By joining the “Little Park Libraries” project in Lumezzane, we hope to offer an opportunity to slow down, pause for a moment, and rediscover the joy of reading in a beautiful and accessible public space.
