Water dispenser: first step in the company

A new water dispenser for a more sustainable canteen

Our company is strengthening its commitment to environmental sustainability with a practical initiative that touches daily life at work: the installation of a new microfiltered water dispenser in our company canteen. This solution helps to reduce the use of single-use plastic bottles and promotes more mindful water consumption.

The dispenser provides both still and sparkling water, treated directly from the municipal supply through an advanced microfiltration process. Employees can refill their reusable bottles or containers, cutting down on plastic waste and water waste at the same time.

With 180 employees and an average daily use of one 750 ml bottle per person, the new dispenser will save approximately:

  • 39,600 plastic bottles per year;
  • 990 kg of plastic waste.

For a total of 29,700 litres of water consumed in a more responsible way.

These are significant numbers that show how even small, everyday actions can have a major environmental impact when adopted collectively throughout the organization.

Sustainability starts with us

This initiative is part of a broader journey toward corporate environmental responsibility. At Itap, sustainability isn’t an abstract idea, it’s something we integrate into our daily work routines.

The new water dispenser joins a range of sustainability efforts we pursue every day: from recycling industrial waste to using eco-friendly, chemical-free cleaning processes.

Thinking long-term, acting every day

With this choice, we’re reaffirming our commitment to the environment and to the well-being of the people who work within the company. The new dispenser isn’t just a practical solution: it’s a symbol of a conscious approach, where every daily gesture can contribute to real change.

At Itap, we believe even the smallest actions can make a difference, and that meaningful change can start with something as simple as a glass of water.
