Standing with those who support women

On November 25th, our commitment continues alongside those who offer support, protection, and new opportunities.

On the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women”, we at Itap renew our commitment by supporting Casa delle Donne CaD-Brescia, through the Itap Fund created by the Fondazione della Comunità Bresciana.

November 25th is not just a symbolic date. It is a reminder that violence against women continues every single day. In Italy, according to ISTAT, around 6.4 million women aged 16 to 75 have experienced some kind of violence at least once in their lives. Specifically:
18.8% have suffered physical violence
23.4% have experienced sexual violence
5.7% have been victims of rape or attempted rape

These numbers cannot be ignored. They must drive us to act, to speak up, and to stand with those who face these situations.

Why we support Casa delle Donne CaD-Brescia

We chose to support an organization that listens, welcomes, and protects women every day. Casa delle Donne CaD-Brescia is an anti-violence center that provides psychological, legal, and relational support to women who have experienced violence, guiding them through paths of recovery and renewed independence.

Every contribution can support several key activities:

  •  pathways to help women leave violent situations
  • outreach and support across the local area
  • educational and awareness programs in schools

Through the Itap Fund, this act becomes meaningful social responsibility, rooted in our company values and in our active presence within the community.
Because real change also comes from what we build every day: safer workplaces, equal opportunities, a culture grounded in respect.

A silent emergency, every day

Violence against women is not always visible or only physical assault. It can be coercion, manipulation, or economic control. It can hide behind closed doors, in workplaces, or within the silence of a community.

According to the INAIL 2025 Report, more than 280,000 complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or gender-based violence were filed in the workplace alone.
And economic violence remains a serious issue, with 74% of affected women reporting significant challenges in gaining financial independence.

The problem is tied to a broader concern: we still have not reached true gender equality in the workplace.

  •  The overall gender gap is only 68.8% closed, and at the current pace it will take 123 years to reach full equality
  • The employment rate for women aged 15 to 64 remains stuck at 53.7%
  • The pay gap is still substantial, with women in many cases earning up to 40% less than men in comparable roles

These numbers show how violence is linked to systemic inequalities, and overcoming it requires more than immediate support. It demands long-term cultural change.

Help can start with one click

For many women, the first obstacle is awareness. They may not recognize the danger, or they may not know that what they are experiencing is violence. This is why the I.S.A. Questionnaire – Indicators of Suspected Abuse is so valuable. It offers a first, anonymous, online, and safe self-assessment tool.

Take the questionnaire now, or share it with someone who might need it: Complete the I.S.A. Risk Self-Assessment Questionnaire

Every woman deserves to be heard, protected, and supported.
Because our commitment cannot stop at November 25th. It must guide us every day of the year.
